West Maroon Creek flows into Maroon Lake surrounded by golden Aspen Trees with the Maroon Bells in the background. Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness Area near Aspen, Colorado. Note that this was my favorite photograph of the trip. The location is about a half mile down the trail from the famous shot on Maroon Lake, but with almost no one there. I wish I had gone to this location before sunrise as having the peaks highlighted would have been a really awesome photograph.
